that what has befallen you... "the ḥadīth, and in it: "and if you were to die on anything other than this, you would enter the Fire." Its isnād is authentic, recorded by a group of the authors of the sunan and masānīd and others, and it is referenced in "al-Mishkāt" (115) and "Takhreej al-Sunnah" (245). The tenth: from Anas, marfūʿ: "A servant does not find the sweetness of faith until he knows that what has befallen him..." the ḥadīth. Recorded by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim (247) with a good isnād from him.

- "No one should burden himself for his guest with what he cannot afford." Recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/56), al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (10/205), and al-Daylamī (4/2/197) from Ibn Lāl, both from the route of Muḥammad ibn al-Faraj who narrated to us from Yūnus ibn Muḥammad al-Muʾaddib who narrated to us from Ḥusayn ibn al-Rammās who said: I heard ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Masʿūd, Salīm ibn Rabāḥ, and Zakarīyā ibn Isḥāq narrating from Salmān from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): so he mentioned it, and the context is from al-Khaṭīb, and he said: "Thus he said: Salīm ibn Rabāḥ and Zakarīyā ibn Isḥāq from Salmān." I said: Ibn Lāl did not mention them in the isnād. Likewise, it was narrated by al-Ḥākim (4/123) from the route of al-Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad, who is al-Marwadhī, from al-Ḥusayn ibn al-Rammās in a similar manner. I said: And it is a weak, unknown isnād. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Masʿūd, I did not recognize him, and it appeared in "al-Mustadrak" that he is al-ʿAbdī, but I did not find anyone who translated him as such, and it is possible that he is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Masʿūd
