"truthful but makes mistakes." Al-Tustarī is among the teachers of al-Bazzār and other ḥadīth scholars, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (9/140) through the narration of the ḥāfiẓ Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá ibn Zuhayr al-Tustarī from him.

"Whoever attacks us at night is not one of us." It has two chains: the first is from Abū Hurayrah, recorded by Aḥmad (2/321) and al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (1279) and Ibn Ḥibbān (1857), from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaymān from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from him, attributed to the Prophet. Al-Bukhārī said: "There is a concern in its isnād." I said: This is due to the weakness of Yaḥyá, but it is strengthened by what follows. The other is from Ibn ʿAbbās, recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (3/126/2) from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad from Thawr ibn Zayd from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās, attributed to the Prophet. I said: And this isnād is authentic, all its narrators are trustworthy.

"Whoever curses my Companions, upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and all people." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (3/174/1) from al-Ḥasan ibn Qazaʿah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Kharrāsh from al-ʿAwām ibn Ḥawshab from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī al-Hudhail from Ibn ʿAbbās, attributed to the Prophet. I said: And this isnād is weak, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Kharrāsh was described by the ḥāfiẓ as "weak," and Ibn ʿAmmār labeled him a liar
