- "Whoever sells a house and does not invest its price in a similar one, it will not be blessed for him." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (4/2/328), Ibn Mājah (2/97), al-Ṭayālisī (1/263), and Ibn ʿAdī (358/1) from Yūsuf ibn Maimūn, from Abū ʿUbaidah ibn Ḥudhayfah, from his father Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is weak. Yūsuf ibn Maimūn, who is al-Makhzūmī, their client, the Kufan dyer, is weak. Nevertheless, Ibn ʿAdī said: "I see no harm in this ḥadīth." I say: Perhaps this is because he was followed by Yazīd ibn Abī Khālid al-Dalānī from Abū ʿUbaidah with it. It was also recorded by al-Bukhārī as well as al-Ṭayālisī and al-Bayhaqī (6/33). And this Yazīd, who is Abū Khālid al-Dalānī, is among the men of "al-Tahdhīb." The ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful but makes many mistakes, and he used to practice tadlīs." Al-Būṣīrī did not recognize him in "Zawāʾid," saying (155/1): "I do not know of Yazīd ibn Abī Khālid's integrity or any criticism." I say: The reason for this is that it was attributed only to al-Bayhaqī, and it occurred in it: "Yazīd ibn Abī Khālid"
