thus, the issue lies with Jabrun ibn ʿĪsá. And Allāh knows best. As for al-Haythamī, he did not address this ḥadīth in his usual manner, but rather implied that it was from the narrators of "al-Ṣaḥīḥ"! He said (10/224): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are those of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ', except for Yaḥyá ibn Sulaymān al-Ḥafrī, whom al-Dhahabī deemed trustworthy at the end of the biography of Yaḥyá ibn Sulaymān al-Juʿfī."

- "Whoever uses stones for cleaning should do so three times." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (1) through the route of Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ with his isnād from Ibn ʿUmar, who attributed it to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Al-Haythamī said (1/211): "Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ was deemed trustworthy by al-Thawrī and Shuʿbah, but weakened by a group." I say: The ḥadīth has a strong corroborating narration from al-Aʿmash from Abū Sufyān from Jābir, attributed to the Prophet with the wording: "If one of you uses stones for cleaning, let him do so three times." It was narrated by Aḥmad (3/400) and Ibn Khuzaymah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (76), and from him by al-Bayhaqī (1/103-104). I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and Muslim narrated it (1/147) through the route of Abū al-Zubayr, who heard it from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, without the phrase: "three times." It is also a narration for Aḥmad (3/294). In another of his narrations (3/336) through the route of Ibn Lahīʿah: Abū al-Zubayr narrated it with the wording: "If one of you defecates, let him wipe three times." Ibn Lahīʿah is acceptable in corroborative and supportive narrations.
