"Whoever intends to fast should partake in suḥūr." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/367 and 379) from Sharīk, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl, from Jābir, as marfūʿ. I said: This isnād has weakness due to Sharīk's poor memory, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh the judge. However, the ḥadīth is authentic, as it has many well-known supporting narrations. Refer to "al-Targhīb" (2/93-94) if you wish. The ḥadīth was also narrated by al-Ḍiyāʾ from Jābir as in "al-Jāmiʿ".

"Whoever wishes to know what he has with Allāh, the Glorious, let him look at what Allāh has with him." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of Anas, Abū Hurayrah, and Samurah ibn Jundub. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Anas: It was recorded by Abū al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ṣalt in "Ḥadīth Ḥamzah ibn al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Hāshimī", where he said (75/2): Ḥamzah narrated to us, saying: Our master Abū Muqātil Suwayd ibn Hilāl ibn Suwayd narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, saying: Maʿmar narrated to us from al-Zuhrī from Anas ibn Mālik as marfūʿ. I said: This isnād has reliable narrators, except for Suwayd ibn Hilāl, for I did not find a biography for him. Ḥamzah al-Hāshimī has a good biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (8/181). The ḥadīth was attributed by al-Suyūṭī to al-Dāraqutnī in "al-Afrād" from Anas, and it is most likely from this chain. 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, it is narrated by al-Ḥasan ibn Yaḥyá al-Aylī, who said: ʿĀṣim ibn Mahjaʿ narrated to us, saying: Ṣāliḥ al-Marī narrated to us from Hishām ibn Ḥassān from Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn from him
