I said: This isnād is authentic, its men are trustworthy, and Abū ʿAshānah, with a ḍammah on the initial letter and a shaddah on the second, his name is Ḥayy ibn Yawman, well-known by his kunyah. ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith is among the men of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]. Ibn Lahīʿah also followed him, saying: Abū ʿAshānah narrated to us. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/144). Ibn Lahīʿah is weak in memory, but the corroboration by ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith indicates that he preserved it, and it appears that al-Ṭabarānī also recorded it through the route of ʿAmr, as al-Haythamī said (3/5-6): "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and the men of al-Ṭabarānī are trustworthy." Then what I had presumed was confirmed after the printing of the seventeenth volume of "al-Kabīr" by al-Ṭabarānī (300/829). The ḥadīth has many supporting narrations that confirm its authenticity, including the ḥadīth that follows with the number (2302) and what is referred to beneath it, which contains an important addition.

"Whoever honors the authority of Allāh, Allāh will honor him on the Day of Resurrection." It was narrated by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (99/2) from Ibn Lahīʿah from Abū Marḥūm from a man from Banī ʿAdī from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakrah from his father with it. I said: This isnād is weak due to the anonymity of the man who was not named, and the weakness of Ibn Lahīʿah.
