- "Allāh gathered (meaning collected and brought together) the earth for me, so I saw its east and west, and indeed the dominion of my nation will reach what was gathered for me from it." The ḥadīth. Narrated by Muslim (8/171), Abū Dāwūd (4252), and al-Tirmidhī (2/27), and he authenticated it. Also by Ibn Mājah (no. 2952) and Aḥmad (5/278 and 284) from the ḥadīth of Thawbān, and Aḥmad also (4/12

from the ḥadīth of Shaddād ibn Aws if it is preserved. More explicit and general is the following ḥadīth: 3 - "This matter will reach wherever the night and day reach, and Allāh will not leave a house of mud or hair except that Allāh will bring this religion into it, with the honor of the honored or the humiliation of the humiliated, an honor by which Allāh honors Islam and a humiliation by which He humiliates disbelief." Narrated by a group whom I mentioned in "Tadhkir al-Sājid" (p. 121). Also narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1631 and 1632). And by Abū ʿUrūbah in "al-Muntaqá min al-Ṭabaqāt" (2/10/1). There is no doubt that achieving this spread requires that Muslims become strong in their morale, material resources, and weaponry so that they can overcome the forces of disbelief and tyranny, and this is what the ḥadīth promises us:
