pearls, around their necks is the seal: the freed ones of Allāh. it will be said to them: Enter Paradise, and whatever you wish for or see is yours; with Me is something better than this. they will say: Our Lord! And what is better than that? He will say: My pleasure upon you, and I will never be angry with you again." It was narrated by Imām Aḥmad in "Musnad" (2/49): ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us—and this is in his "Muṣannaf" (11/409/20857)—he said: Maʿmar informed us from Zayd ibn Aslam from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by al-Nasāʾī (5010), Ibn Mājah (60), and Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawḥīd" (184), all from ʿAbd al-Razzāq with it, except that with al-Nasāʾī, the verse occurred: *"Indeed, Allāh does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills."* (1) This differs from the narration of the others, and I do not know from whom the error is, but the narration of the first group is preferred, and the other is anomalous. And what supports this is that the ḥadīth was narrated by al-Bukhārī (7439) through the route of Saʿīd ibn Abī Hilāl, and Muslim (1/114-117) through the route of Ḥafṣ ibn Maysarah, both from Zayd ibn Aslam with it at length with the first verse.

- "My father spoke the truth." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/38/2) through the route of Ibrāhīm from Ibn Masʿūd that he asked Ubayy ibn Kaʿb—while the Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was delivering a sermon—about a verse from the Book of Allāh? He turned away from him and did not respond to him. When he finished his prayer, he said: "You did not gather." So Ibn Masʿūd asked the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)? and he mentioned it
