" this is a noble ḥadīth, and the men of its isnād are trustworthy." And I say: There is some discussion about Shihāb ibn Khurāsh, as indicated by the ḥāfiẓ in "Taqrīb" who said: "Truthful, but makes mistakes." Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "A group considered him trustworthy. Ibn al-Mahdī said: I have not seen anyone better in describing the sunnah than him. Ibn ʿAdī said: He has some things that are objectionable." I said: So someone like him is considered ḥasan in ḥadīth, if Allāh wills. Ibn al-Jazarī used it as evidence for the obligation of lengthening the connected [vowels]. He mentioned that shortening it is not permissible according to any of the reciters. Refer to it if you wish. (Note): It appeared in "al-Kabīr" as (fa-maddahā), in "al-Nashr" as (fa-maddūhā), and in "al-Majmaʿ" as (fa-maddadūhā), and perhaps the correct one is what has been established.

- "Among the signs of the Hour are obscenity, vulgarity, severing of kinship ties, and entrusting the treacherous—I think he said: and betraying the trustworthy." It was recorded by al-Bazzār (p. 238 - Zawāʾid) through the route of Shabīb ibn Bishr from Anas ibn Mālik as marfūʿ. I said: And this isnād is ḥasan, its men are trustworthy except for Shabīb ibn Bishr, about whom there is discussion, and the more correct opinion is that he is ḥasan in ḥadīth. Therefore, it was said in "Zawāʾid al-Bazzār": "ḥasan." And it was said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (7/327):
