it was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (1047 and 1048) with two chains of narration, one of which is good with trustworthy narrators according to Muslim, except for Muhājir ibn Abī Muslim, the client of Asmāʾ, who was narrated from by a group of trustworthy narrators, and Ibn Ḥibbān declared him reliable (5/427). He was followed by Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, and there is no harm in his follow-ups, which is the other path. It was also recorded by Abū Dāwūd, al-Tirmidhī, and Aḥmad (6/452 and 457-458).

Ibn Abī Bakr is al-Muqaddamī, and it was narrated from another path by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (4/70/2). I said: And Yaḥyá ibn Rāshid - who is al-Māzinī - is weak. However, he was followed by Ḥammād ibn Salamah, as Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ḥarbī said in "al-Ḥarbiyyāt" (2/47/2): ʿAbd Allāh ibn Usayd informed us, Abū Masʿūd Aḥmad ibn al-Furāt informed us, Zayd ibn ʿAwf informed us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah informed us from Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind Jābir - who is Ibn Zayd, Abū al-Shaʿthāʾ - from Ibn ʿAbbās with a similar narration. But Zayd ibn ʿAwf is abandoned. There is a supporting mursal narration recorded by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (288/873): Abū Isrāʾīl informed us from Sayyār Abū al-Ḥakam as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the wording: "he used to walk like a market-goer, neither incapable nor lazy." Abū Isrāʾīl's name is Ismāʿīl ibn Khalīfah, he is truthful but has poor memory
