"Every soul from the children of Adam is a master; the man is the master of his family, and the woman is the mistress of her house." It was recorded by Ibn al-Sunnī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (382) and Abū Bakr al-Muqriʾ al-Aṣbahānī in "al-Fawāʾid" (13/190/1) from Aḥmad ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Ṣarḥ, who narrated from Ibn Wahb, who informed me from ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith, from Abū Yūnus, from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim, and Abū Yūnus's name is Sulaym ibn Jubayr.

"Every oath sworn by anything other than Allāh is shirk." It was recorded by al-Baghawī in "al-Jaʿdiyyāt" (2332) and al-Ḥākim in "al-Mustadrak" (1/18) from Sharīk ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUbayd Allāh, from Saʿd ibn ʿUbaydah, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of Muslim," and al-Dhahabī agreed. I say: Sharīk is weak due to his memory, and Muslim only recorded his narrations as supporting evidence. Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUbayd Allāh, who is al-Nakhaʿī, is trustworthy, but al-Baghawī replaced him with Jābir al-Juʿfī. However, it is firmly attributed to al-Ḥasan al-Nakhaʿī, as Imām Aḥmad said (2/125): Sulaymān ibn Ḥayyān narrated to us from al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUbayd Allāh with it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the wording: "Whoever swears by other than Allāh has committed disbelief or shirk."
