al-Musayyib from ʿUmar said: "indeed, the supplication is suspended between the heaven and the earth; nothing of it ascends until you send blessings upon your Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)." And Abū Qurrah is unknown.

- "Every kinship and lineage will be severed on the Day of Resurrection, except my kinship and lineage." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās, ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, it is narrated by Mūsá ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-ʿAdanī who said: Ḥakam ibn Abān narrated to me from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. It was extracted by al-Mukhliṣ in "Sabʿah Majālis" (51/1), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/129/1), al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (10/271), al-Harawī in "Dhamm al-Kalām" (108/2), and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah." I said: This isnād is good in terms of supporting evidence, for Ḥakam ibn Abān is truthful and devout, though he has errors. And Mūsá al-ʿAdanī is truthful but has poor memory. 2 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUmar, there are several chains from him: the first is narrated by Ibrāhīm ibn Mihrān ibn Rustam al-Marwazī: "al-Layth ibn Saʿd al-Qaysī narrated to us - he was a client of Banū Rafāʿah in the year 171 AH in Egypt - from Mūsá ibn ʿAlī ibn Rabāḥ al-Lakhmī from his father from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir who said: 'ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb proposed to ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib for his daughter from Fāṭimah, and he frequently visited him, saying: O Abū al-Ḥasan! What compels me to frequently visit you is nothing but a ḥadīth I heard from the Messenger...'"
