third: from Qays ibn Zayd: "that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) divorced Ḥafṣah bint ʿUmar. Her uncles, Qudāmah and ʿUthmān, the sons of Maẓʿūn, came to her, and she cried, saying: By Allāh, he did not divorce me out of dissatisfaction. Then the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) came and said: Gabriel (peace be upon him) said to me: Take Ḥafṣah back, for she is a devout worshiper and she is your wife in Paradise." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (2/50) and al-Ḥākim through the route of Ḥammād ibn Salamah: narrated by Abū ʿImrān al-Jūnī from Qays ibn Zayd. I said: al-Ḥākim and then al-Dhahabī remained silent about it, and perhaps that is due to the clarity of its defect, which is Qays ibn Zayd. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (3/2/98): "He narrated from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a mursal form, and I do not know of his companionship. Abū ʿImrān al-Jūnī narrated from him." fourth: from al-Ḥasan ibn Abī Jaʿfar from ʿĀṣim from Zur from ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) intended to divorce Ḥafṣah, then Gabriel came and said: Do not divorce her, for she is a devout worshiper, and she is your wife in Paradise." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym. I said: Its narrators are trustworthy except for al-Ḥasan ibn Abī Jaʿfar, who is al-Jaʿfarī. The ḥāfiẓ said: "Weak in ḥadīth, despite his piety and virtue." I said: If it is combined with the mursal that precedes it, its ḥadīth rises to the level of ḥasan, if Allāh wills. And it was narrated once from Thābit from Anas (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): "that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) divorced Ḥafṣah with one divorce, then Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to him and said: O Muḥammad! Have you divorced Ḥafṣah while she is a devout worshiper and she is your wife in Paradise?"
