Muslim ibn Mishkam - from ʿAwf ibn Mālik from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy, and al-Būṣīrī said the same in "al-Zawāʾid" (p. 236/1). The ḥadīth has a supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah with a similar wording. It has been mentioned previously (1341).

- "Usury is seventy-two types, the least of which is like a man coming to his mother, and the most severe form of usury is a man extending himself in the honor of his brother." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/143/1) from Muʿāwiyah ibn Hishām who narrated to us from ʿUmar ibn Rāshid from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. And he said: "It is not narrated from al-Barāʾ except through this isnād." I said: It is weak, ʿUmar ibn Rāshid was said by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Taqrīb": "weak." And Muʿāwiyah ibn Hishām is truthful but has errors, and al-Firyābī contradicted him, narrating it from ʿUmar ibn Rāshid from Yaḥyá from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah from al-Barāʾ with it. This is how Ibn Abī Ḥātim recorded it in "al-ʿIlal" (1/381) and said: "My father said: It is mursal, Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq did not meet al-Barāʾ, nor did his father meet al-Barāʾ." I said: And his saying: "Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq" might be a distortion of "Yaḥyá from Isḥāq" if Muʿāwiyah ibn Hishām preserved it. And Allāh knows best
