and Ḥammād ibn Salamah followed him from him with it from al-Ṭufayl ibn Sukhayrah, the brother of ʿĀʾishah from her mother: "that he saw in a dream as if he passed by a group of Jews, and he said: Who are you? They said: We are the Jews. He said: You would be the people if it were not for your claim that ʿUzayr is the son of Allāh. The Jews said: And you would be the people if it were not for your saying: What Allāh wills and what Muḥammad wills! Then he passed by a group of Christians and said: Who are you? They said: We are the Christians. He said: You would be the people if it were not for your saying that the Messiah is the son of Allāh. They said: And you would be the people if it were not for your saying: What Allāh wills and what Muḥammad wills! When he awoke, he informed those he informed, then he came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and informed him. He said: Did you inform anyone about it? He said: Yes. When they prayed, he addressed them, praised Allāh, and extolled Him, then said," and he mentioned the ḥadīth with the wording: "Indeed, al-Ṭufayl saw a vision and informed those he informed among you, and you used to say a word that I was too shy to forbid you from. He said: Do not say: What Allāh wills and what Muḥammad wills."
وتابعه حماد بن سلمة عنه به عن الطفيل ابن سخبرة أخي عائشة لأمها:" أنه رأى فيما يرى النائم كأنه مر برهط من اليهود، فقال: من أنتم؟ قالوا:نحن اليهود؟ قال: إنكم أنتم القوم لولا أنكم تزعمون أن عزيرا ابن الله،فقالت اليهود: وأنتم القوم لولا أنكم تقولون ما شاء الله وشاء محمد! ثم مربرهط من النصارى فقال: من أنتم؟ قالوا نحن النصارى، فقال: إنكم أنتم القوملولا أنكم تقولون المسيح ابن الله، قالوا: وإنكم أنتم القوم لولا أنكمتقولون ما شاء الله وما شاء محمد! فلما أصبح أخبر بها من أخبر، ثم أتى النبيﷺ فأخبره فقال: هل أخبرت بها أحدا؟ قال: نعم، فلما صلواخطبهم فحمد الله وأثنى عليه ثم قال "، فذكر الحديث بلفظ:" إن طفيلا رأى رؤيا فأخبر بها من أخبر منكم، وإنكم كنتم تقولون كلمة كانيمنعني الحياء منكم أن أنهاكم عنها، قال: لا تقولوا ما شاء الله، وما شاءمحمد ".
- "Indeed, al-Ṭufayl saw a vision and informed those he informed among you, and you used to say a word that I was too shy to forbid you from. He said: Do not say: What Allāh wills and what Muḥammad wills." It was extracted by Aḥmad (5/72). And this is the correct version from Rabiʿī from al-Ṭufayl, not from Ḥudhayfah, due to the agreement of these three: Ḥammād ibn Salamah, Abū ʿAwānah, and Shuʿbah on it. It is a sound witness for the ḥadīth of Ḥudhayfah. Al-Bukhārī narrated in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (782) from Ibn ʿUmar: "that he heard a servant of his say: Allāh and so-and-so. He said: Do not say that, do not make anyone a partner with Allāh, but say: So-and-so after Allāh." And its men are trustworthy except for Mughīth, the servant of Ibn ʿAmr, who is unknown. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "I do not find it unlikely that he is Ibn Sumay."
- " إن طفيلا رأى رؤيا فأخبر بها من أخبر منكم وإنكم كنتم تقولون كلمة كانيمنعني الحياء منكم أن أنهاكم عنها، قال: لا تقولوا: ما شاء الله وما شاءمحمد ". أخرجه أحمد (٥ / ٧٢) . وهذا هو الصواب عن ربعي عن الطفيل ليس عن حذيفة،لاتفاق هؤلاء الثلاثة حماد بن سلمة وأبو عوانة وشعبة عليه.فهو شاهد صحيح لحديث حذيفة. وروى البخاري في " الأدب المفرد " (٧٨٢) عن ابن عمر:" أنه سمع مولى له يقول: الله وفلان، فقال: لا تقل كذلك، لا تجعل مع اللهأحدا، ولكن قل: فلان بعد الله ". ورجاله ثقات غير مغيث مولى ابن عمرو وهو مجهول.وقال الحافظ: " لا استبعد أن يكون ابن سمي ".
