"the best remembrance is the hidden one, and the best provision is that which suffices." It was recorded by Wakīʿ (no. 116) and others, and authenticated by Ibn Ḥibbān (2323), though there is some scrutiny regarding it, which I have explained in the commentary on "al-Targhīb" (3/9). In summary, the ḥadīth is ḥasan in my view when considering all these paths, especially since it is authentically reported from him (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that he said: "O Allāh, make the provision of the family of Muḥammad just sufficient," agreed upon. In a narration by Muslim, "sufficient" is used, though its establishment is scrutinized, as I have explained previously under ḥadīth (130).

- "The best of you are those who are best to their families." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (22/341/854) and Ibn ʿAsākir (15/95/2) from Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh, who reported from ʿUmar ibn Ruʾbah from Abū Kabshah, raised. I say: This isnād is good, though there is weakness in this ʿUmar. It has many supporting narrations from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and others; see it mentioned previously (284).

- "The best deed is to leave this world while your tongue is moist with the remembrance of Allāh." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (6/111-112) and al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (1/294 - manuscript of the library) from Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh, who reported from ʿAmr ibn Qays al-Sakūnī from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Busr al-Māzinī, who said:
