and Ibn ʿAdī narrated (1/304) and al-Lālakāʾī from another route from Abū Hilāl with it. Ibn ʿAdī said: "And Abū Hilāl, in some of his narrations, has what the trustworthy do not agree with him on, and he is among those whose ḥadīth is written." And Ibn ʿAdī (2/18) from Ayyūb ibn Khawṭ from Qatādah with it, and from the route of Yaḥyá ibn Baṣṭām al-ʿAbdī, Ibn Akhī Hishām al-Dastawāʾī narrated to us from Hishām from Qatādah with it. Abū Hilāl's name is Muḥammad ibn Salīm al-Rāsibī, and he is truthful but has some weakness. Ayyūb ibn Khawṭ is abandoned. And similarly is Yaḥyá ibn Baṣṭām, for Abū Dāwūd said: "They abandoned his ḥadīth." Ibn ʿAsākir also narrated it in "al-Tārīkh" (18/43/2 and 44/1) from routes from Qatādah with it. Then he narrated it (18/44/2) from the route of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Shuʿbah from Abū Isḥāq from Nājah from Ibn Masʿūd as marfūʿ with it. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh is Ibn Wahb al-Qurashī al-Baṣrī, about whom Ibn ʿAdī spoke, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" and said: "His ḥadīth should be considered if he clarifies the hearing." In summary: all these routes from Qatādah are very weak except for the route of Abū Hilāl al-Rāsibī, which is much better and, in my opinion, good. Al-Manāwī quoted from al-Haythamī that he said: "Its isnād is good." And Allāh knows best. And it has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) as marfūʿ with the wording:
