" the Khaṭīb mentioned them in "al-Muttafaq wa-al-Muftaraq," and from it Ibn al-Jawzī transmitted, so one of them ... ". I said: he mentioned them, and this is the third of them, and he did not mention anything else about it. The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from Abū Hurayrah in a raised form, except that it says: "the supplication of the oppressed" instead of "the supplication of the fasting person," and its sourcing has been previously mentioned (598), but it was narrated by al-ʿUqaylī and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" from Abū Hurayrah with the wording of the chapter title: "and the supplication of the fasting person." And in it, as al-Munāwī said, Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Bāghandī was mentioned by al-Dhahabī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" and he said: "truthful but has some weakness." I said: but it was narrated by Ibn Māsi in the end of "Juzʾ al-Anṣārī" (9/2) and al-Barzalī in "Selected Ḥadīths from It" (number 15): Abū Muslim al-Kajjī narrated to us, Abū ʿĀṣim al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Mukhallad narrated to us from al-Ḥajjāj - who is Ibn Abī ʿUthmān al-Ṣawwāf - from Yaḥyá - meaning Ibn Abī Kathīr - from Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī from Abū Hurayrah with it. I said: and this isnād is authentic, all its men are trustworthy, and Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī is Abū Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq. It was also narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir in "al-Tārīkh" (9/211/2) through another route from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr with it. It is supported by another ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah with the wording: "Three whose supplications are not rejected: the fasting person until he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed." It was narrated by Aḥmad and others, and authenticated by Ibn Ḥibbān (2407) and others, and it includes an unknown tābiʿī as I clarified in "Takhrīj al-Targhīb" (2/63).
