Muḥammad ibn Salamah al-Balkhī narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Walīd narrated to us, ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Salamah from al-Zuhrī from Abū Salamah from him. And Bishr ibn al-Walīd is weak, and I do not know al-Balkhī. A second witness from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, raised. It was recorded by Ibn al-Najjār in "Dhail Tārīkh Baghdād" (10/192/1) with a very weak isnād, containing a group I do not know, and Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī al-Ṣūfī is accused of fabrication. A third witness from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Salām, raised, with the wording: "Do not think about Allāh, but think about the creation of Allāh, for our Lord created an angel whose feet are in the lowest seventh earth, and his head has surpassed the highest heaven. The distance between his feet and his knees is a journey of six hundred years, and the distance between his ankles and the soles of his feet is a journey of six hundred years, and the Creator is greater than the created." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (6/66-67) from the route of ʿAbd al-Jalīl ibn ʿAṭiyyah from Shahr from him. I said: And this isnād is good for supporting evidence, and ʿAbd al-Jalīl and Shahr, who is Ibn Ḥawshab, are truthful but poor in memory. The rest of the men are trustworthy. In the chapter, there is also from Abū Dharr and Ibn ʿAbbās, with Abū al-Shaykh, and the second with Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" as in "al-Jāmiʿ", and I did not see it in "Fahras al-Ḥilyah". And it was narrated by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (p. 420) from the route of ʿĀṣim ibn ʿAlī, narrated to us by his father from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās, stopped on him, with the wording: "Reflect on everything, but do not reflect on the essence of Allāh, for between the seventh heaven and His throne are seven thousand lights, and He is above that."
