and the phrase "sheep are a blessing" has been authenticated from the ḥadīth of Umm Hānī and ʿĀʾishah with two authentic isnāds, as mentioned earlier (773). Abū Yaʿlá also reported it (2/477) through the chain of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Ibn (Abī) Laylá from al-Barāʾ as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. This ʿAbd Allāh is Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī, who is cited despite his poor memory along with his honesty. Ṭalḥah narrated from ʿAmr from ʿAṭāʾ in a mursal form with the wording: "Sheep are a placed blessing, and camels are the beauty for their owners, and goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection." It was reported by Maʿmar ibn al-Muthanná in "al-Khayl" (3/2): ʿUmar ibn ʿImrān al-Sadūsī told me, saying: Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAmr narrated it. I say: This Ṭalḥah is al-Ḥaḍramī al-Makkī, who is also abandoned.

- "The four sisters: Maymūnah, Umm al-Faḍl, Salmá, and Asmāʾ bint ʿUmays - their maternal sister - are believers."
