- "Camels are a source of pride for their owners, sheep bring blessings, and goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2305) and Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (4/1614). They said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr narrated to us, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Idrīs narrated to us from Ḥuṣayn from ʿĀmir from ʿUrwah al-Bāriqī, raising it [to the Prophet], and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim] as in "al-Zawāʾid" (162/1), and he said: "They both used all its narrators as evidence, and it was narrated by the two Shaykhs, al-Tirmidhī, and al-Nasāʾī through the route of ʿĀmir al-Shaʿbī, limiting it to the story of the horses without the beginning, and likewise it was narrated by al-Dārimī." It has a corroborating narration from Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān, raised [to the Prophet], with the addition: "And your servant is your brother, so be kind to him, and if you find him overwhelmed, assist him." It was recorded by al-Bazzār (number - 1685) from Abū Yaḥyá al-Ḥammānī ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: al-Ḥasan ibn Abī al-Ḥasan al-Bajalī narrated to us from Ṭalḥah ibn Muṣarrif from Abū ʿAmmār from ʿAmr ibn Sharḥabīl from him, and he said: "We do not know it from Ḥudhayfah except through this isnād, and I think that al-Ḥasan al-Bajalī is Ibn ʿAmārah." I said: He is abandoned as in "al-Taqrīb," and al-Haythamī's statement (5/259): "He is weak." This is from his leniency or indulgence in expression, for the man is in a worse condition than that as is known among the scholars, and therefore he is not suitable to be cited as evidence
