so I outran him on foot. Later on (in another narration: he remained silent about me until I gained weight and became plump and forgot), I went out with him on a journey, and he said to his companions: Go ahead, (and they went ahead), then he said: Come, let me race you. I had forgotten what had happened, and I had gained weight, so I said: How can I race you, O Messenger of Allāh, when I am in this condition? He said: You will do it. So I raced him, and he outran me, and (he began to laugh, and) said: "He mentioned it. I said: And this is a sound chain according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and al-ʿIrāqī authenticated it in "Takhrīj al-Iḥyāʾ" (2/40). Ḥammād ibn Salamah disagreed with the group and said: "from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from Abū Salamah from her in a shortened form with the wording: "She said: I raced the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and I outran him." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/261) and Ḥammād is a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ, so it is possible that he preserved what the group did not, and that Hishām narrates it from his father and from Abū Salamah. It is supported by the fact that Ḥammād also narrated it from ʿAlī ibn Zayd from Abū Salamah with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/129, 182, 280).

"Take the kunya with your son ʿAbdullāh—meaning Ibn al-Zubayr—you are Umm ʿAbdullāh." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (6/151): ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, Maʿmar narrated to us from Hishām from his father that ʿĀʾishah said to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): O Messenger of Allāh, all your wives have a kunya except me, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: (He mentioned it without the addition). He said: So she was called Umm ʿAbdullāh until she died, and she never gave birth
