and the ḥadīth has many supporting narrations, some of which have been previously mentioned from the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah and Umm Salamah in the first volume, numbers (83 and 84), with commentary appropriate to the context, so refer to it if you wish.

- "Indeed, they are only four: that you do not associate anything with Allāh, do not kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden except with right, do not commit adultery, and do not steal." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/339) and al-Ṭabarānī (6316 - 6317) through the route of Manṣūr from Hilāl ibn Yasāf from Salamah ibn Qays al-Ashjaʿī who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: (and he mentioned it) He said: I am not more protective over them than when I heard them from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). I say: And this chain of narration is authentic. Al-Haythamī summarized it and said (1/104): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr', and its men are trustworthy."

- "O people, adhere to moderation, adhere to moderation, for Allāh does not tire until you tire." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (4241), Abū Yaʿlá (2/497), and Ibn Ḥibbān (651) through the route of Yaʿqūb ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Qummī who narrated to us from ʿĪsá ibn Jāriyah from Jābir who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by a man standing and praying on a rock, then he went to a part of Mecca, stayed for a while, then returned and found the man in the same state, praying, so he gathered his hands and said: "and he mentioned it. I say: And this chain of narration is potentially good, its men are reliable, and ʿĪsá ibn Jāriyah is disputed, and al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "There is some weakness in him."
