it was recorded by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim (1373) with a weak chain from him, and he is al-Muhājir ibn ʿUmayrah. This is how it was mentioned in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (4/1/261) from the narration of ʿAdī ibn Thābit al-Anṣārī from him. No criticism or commendation was mentioned about him, and similarly, he is in "Thiqāt Ibn Ḥibbān" (3/256). 5 - Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī. It is narrated by Riyāḥ ibn al-Ḥārith who said: "A group came to ʿAlī in al-Raḥbah and said: Peace be upon you, O our master. He said: How can I be your master when you are Arab people? They said: We heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) on the day of Ghadīr Khumm say: (and he mentioned it without the addition). Riyāḥ said: When they left, I followed them and asked: Who are these people? They said: A group from the Anṣār among whom was Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī." It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/419) and al-Ṭabarānī (4052 and 4053) through the route of Ḥanash ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Laqīṭ al-Nakhaʿī al-Ashjaʿī from Riyāḥ ibn al-Ḥārith. I say: This is a good chain, its men are trustworthy. Al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī, and the men of Aḥmad are trustworthy." 6 - al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib. It is narrated by ʿAdī ibn Thābit from him who said: "We were with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) on a journey and we stopped at Ghadīr Khumm. It was called out to us: The prayer is gathering. A place was cleared for the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) under two trees, and he prayed the ẓuhr prayer. He took the hand of ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) and said: Do you not know that I am closer to every believer than his own self? ..." the ḥadīth is similar to the narration of Fiṭr ibn Khalīfah from Zayd. And he added: "He said: ʿUmar met him after that and said to him: Congratulations, O son of Abū Ṭālib, you have become and remained the master of every believer and believing woman." It was recorded by Aḥmad and his son in his additions (4/281) and Ibn Mājah (116) in a shortened form from the route of
