in "al-Shihāb" (11/2/1) from Sharīk, from ʿĀṣim, from Abū Wāʾil, from ʿAbd Allāh who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good in supporting evidence; its men are trustworthy, except that Sharīk, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh the judge, has poor memory. However, the ḥadīth is authentic, as its second part is found in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and al-Nasāʾī, Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim, and others through another route from Abū Wāʾil with it. It was also narrated by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in "al-Ahwāl" (91/2), al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" (2/113/2), and Aḥmad (3674, 4200, 4213, and 4214), among others. The first part has supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and Tamīm al-Dārī with Abū Dāwūd and others, and it is extracted in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (810-812), and the ḥadīth of Tamīm is also with al-Ṭabarānī (1255 and 1256).

- "The first to change my sunnah will be a man from Banū Umayyah." It was recorded by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Awāʾil" (7/2): ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muʿādh narrated to us, my father narrated to us, ʿAwf narrated from al-Muhājir Abū Mukhallad, from Abū al-ʿĀliyah, from Abū Dharr that he said to Yazīd ibn Abī Sufyān: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good; its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for al-Muhājir, who is Ibn Mukhallad Abū Mukhallad. Ibn Maʿīn said: "Righteous." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." Al-Sājī said: "Truthful." Abū Ḥātim said: "Weak in ḥadīth, not remarkable, not precise, but his ḥadīth is written."
