that in the commentary, al-Tirmidhī said: "And its isnād is good and strong"! However, this is actually the statement of Ibn Kathīr himself as I have seen; the shaykh could not comprehend that Ibn Kathīr could combine strengthening the isnād and objecting to its text. Even though this is commonly known among scholars, it necessitated clarification, although we have established his error in objecting to its text as previously mentioned.
في التعليق أن الترمذي قال: " وإسناده جيد قوي "! وإنما هذا قول ابن كثير نفسه كما رأيت، لم يستطع الشيخ أن يجمع في ذهنه أنابن كثير يمكن أن يجمع بين تقوية الإسناد واستنكاره لمتنه. مع أن هذا شا ئعمعروف عند أهل العلم، فاقتضى التنبيه، وإن كنا أثبتنا خطأه في استنكارهلمتنه كما تقدم.
- "The first group to enter Paradise will be in the form of the moon on the night of the full moon, and the second group will be in the color of the most beautiful shining star in the sky. Each man among them will have two wives, and on each wife will be seventy garments, through which the marrow of her leg will be visible from behind them." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (2/85 and 87) through the route of Farās and Faḍīl ibn Marzūq, both from ʿAṭiyyah from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he mentioned it, saying in the first instance: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." And in the other: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan," and this is more accurate, for ʿAṭiyyah, who is al-ʿAwfī, is weak. However, he was not alone in narrating it, as will be shown. It was also recorded by Aḥmad (3/16): Yāḥyā ibn Ādam narrated to us, Faḍīl narrated from ʿAṭāʾ, and Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī narrated it. It is mentioned there as "ʿAṭāʾ," and I suspect it is a scribal error for "ʿAṭiyyah," and Allāh knows best. From him, it was recorded by al-Baghawī in the ḥadīth of "Ibn al-Jaʿd" (9/1). It was narrated by Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān: Faḍīl ibn Marzūq narrated from Abū Isḥāq from ʿAmr ibn Maymūn from ʿAbdullāh from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with it, and he added: "as the red drink is seen in the white glass." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (10321) and from him by Abū Nuʿaym in "Ṣifat al-Jannah" (2/135/2001) through two routes from Ibn Sulaymān with it. Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (4/261): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād and by al-Bayhaqī with a ḥasan isnād"! Ibn al-Qayyim said (1/318): "And this isnād is according to the conditions of the ṣaḥīḥ."
- " أول زمرة تدخل الجنة على صورة القمر ليلة البدر والثانية على لون أحسن كوكبدري في السماء لكل رجل منهم زوجتان، على كل زوجة سبعون حلة يبدو مخ ساقها منورائها ". أخرجه الترمذي (٢ / ٨٥ و ٨٧) من طريق فراس وفضيل بن مرزوق كلاهما عن عطيةعن أبي سعيد الخدري عن النبي ﷺ فذكره، وقال في الموضعالأول: " حديث حسن صحيح ". وفي الآخر: " حديث حسن "، وهذا أقرب، فإنعطية وهو العوفي ضعيف. لكنه لم يتفرد به كما يأتي. وأخرجه أحمد أيضا (٣ /١٦) : حدثنا يحيى بن آدم حدثنا فضيل عن عطاء حدثنا أبو سعيد الخدري به. كذافيه " عطاء " وأظنه محرفا من " عطية " والله أعلم، وعنه أخرجه البغوي فيحديث " ابن الجعد " (٩ / ١). ورواه سعيد بن سليمان حدثنا فضيل بن مرزوق عنأبي إسحاق عن عمرو بن ميمون عن عبد الله عن النبي ﷺ به وزاد: " كما يرى الشراب الأحمر في الزجاجة البيضاء ". أخرجه الطبراني في " المعجمالكبير " (١٠٣٢١) وعنه أبو نعيم في " صفة الجنة " (٢ / ١٣٥ / ٢٠٠١) منطريقين عن ابن سليمان به. قال المنذري في " الترغيب " (٤ / ٢٦١) : " رواهالطبراني بإسناد صحيح والبيهقي بإسناد حسن "! وقال ابن القيم (١ / ٣١٨) :" وهذا الإسناد على شرط الصحيح ".
