"it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is Zurayk ibn Abī Zurayk, whom I do not recognize, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy!" One of al-Munāwī's mistakes is that he quoted this statement of al-Haythamī under the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, misleadingly suggesting that it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī from Zurayk. I said: The isnād is authentic because all its narrators are trustworthy.

"The example of the one who takes back his gift is like the dog that eats until it is full, then vomits, and then returns to its vomit and eats it." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2384) and Aḥmad (2/259) through the route of ʿAwf from Khallās from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet]. I said: Its isnād is trustworthy, but Aḥmad said: Khallās did not hear anything from Abū Hurayrah. Al-Bukhārī mentioned in "al-Tārīkh" that his narration from him is in written form. However, the ḥadīth is authentic, as it has supporting narrations from Ibn ʿAbbās, Ibn ʿAmr, and others, and I have referenced some of them in "al-Irwāʾ" (1621).

"Indeed, among my nation are people who will be given rewards like those of the first ones, for they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/62 and 5/375): Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb narrated to us, informing me that Sufyān from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib said: I heard ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥaḍramī say: Someone who heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say this informed me, and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good, as all its narrators are those of the authentic collections, and any criticism of Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb does not harm, if Allāh wills, and the anonymity of the Companion does not harm at all, for they are considered reliable
