and al-Kalābādhī in "Miftāḥ al-Maʿānī" (90/1-2) through various chains from Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd, who reported from his father: "I was sitting next to Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān in the mosque, when a handsome elder from the Banū Ghifār passed by, and he had deafness or, he said, heaviness in his ears. He sent for Ḥumayd, and when he approached, he said: 'O son of my brother, make space for him between you and me, for he has accompanied the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam).' He came and sat between me and him, and Ḥumayd said to him: 'Is this the ḥadīth you narrated to me from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)?' The elder said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say:' and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of al-Shaykhayn, and the anonymity of the Companion does not harm. Some weak narrators named him Abū Hurayrah! It was recorded by al-ʿUqaylī and al-Rāmhormuzī in "al-Amthāl" through the route of ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥuṣayn, who said: ʾUmayyah ibn Saʿd al-Umawī narrated to us, saying: Ṣafwān ibn Sulaym informed us from Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf from Abū Hurayrah in a marfūʿ form with the addition: "The lightning is his laughter, and the thunder is his speech." Al-ʿUqaylī included it in the biography of this ʾUmayyah and said about him: "Unknown in his ḥadīth, and he might have been confused by ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥuṣayn." I said: Criticizing it through him is more appropriate, for he is a liar, so reliance is on the first route.
(ص ٤٧٥) والكلاباذي في " مفتاح المعاني " (٩٠ / ١ - ٢) من طرق عن إبراهيم ابن سعد أخبرني أبي قال: " كنت جالسا إلى جنب حميد بن عبد الرحمن في المسجد، فمر شيخ جميل من بني غفار، وفي أذنيه صمم أو قال: وقر، فأرسل إلى حميد، فلما أقبل، قال: يا ابن أخي أوسع له فيما بيني وبينك، فإنه قد صحب رسول الله ﷺ، فجاء حتى جلس فيما بيني وبينه، فقال له حميد: هذا الحديث الذي حدثتني عن رسول الله ﷺ؟ فقال الشيخ: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: " فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح، رجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين، وجهالة الصحابي لا تضر. وقد سماه بعض الضعفاء أبا هريرة! أخرجه العقيلي والرامهرمزي في " الأمثال " من طريق عمرو بن الحصين قال: حدثنا أمية بن سعد الأموي قال: أخبرنا صفوان بن سليم عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف عن أبي هريرة مرفوعا به وزاد: " وضحكه البرق، ومنطقه الرعد ". ساقه العقيلي في ترجمة أمية هذا وقال فيه: " مجهول في حديثه وهم ولعله أتي من عمرو بن الحصين ". قلت: وإعلاله به أولى فإنه كذاب، فالاعتماد على الطريق الأولى.
- "Indeed, Allāh enjoins you to care for your mothers, then He enjoins you to care for your fathers, then He enjoins you to care for the closest relatives, and then the next closest." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (60), Ibn Mājah (3661), al-Ḥākim (4/151), and Aḥmad (4/131 and 132) through the route of Baqiyyah and Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh from Baḥīr ibn Saʿīd from Khālid ibn Maʿdān from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdī Karib al-Kindī from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Al-Ḥākim said:
- " إن الله يوصيكم بأمهاتكم، ثم يوصيكم بآبائكم، ثم يوصيكم بالأقرب فالأقرب ". أخرجه البخاري في " الأدب المفرد " (٦٠) وابن ماجة (٣٦٦١) والحاكم (٤ / ١٥١) وأحمد (٤ / ١٣١ و ١٣٢) من طريق بقية وإسماعيل بن عياش عن بحير بن سعيد عن خالد بن معدان عن المقدام بن معدي كرب الكندي عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. وقال الحاكم:
