in the second wording, which is narrated by Aḥmad (4/120), Abū Dāwūd (5129), and al-Tirmidhī (2/112), who said: "It is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." Abān ibn Taghlib disagreed with them, saying: from al-Aʿmash, from Abū ʿAmr al-Shaybānī, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Kharāʾiṭī (p. 16) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (6/266). I say: Abān ibn Taghlib is trustworthy, and Muslim used his narrations, but the narration of the group is more authentic. Moreover, it has been narrated through another route from Ibn Masʿūd, which is as follows: 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd, it is narrated by ʿĪsá ibn al-Mukhtār from Ibn Abī Laylá from Faḍīl ibn ʿAmr from Abū Wāʾil from him, elevated with the wording of the chapter. It was recorded by al-Bazzār (no. 154) who said: "We do not know it to be elevated from ʿAbd Allāh except through this isnād." I say: It is weak due to the poor memory of Ibn Abī Laylá. 3 - As for the ḥadīth of Sahl, it is narrated by al-ʿĀʾishī, who told us ʿImrān ibn Yazīd al-Qurashī from Abū Ḥāzim from him. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī, who told us Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Dāwūd, who narrated it from al-ʿĀʾishī. I say: All its narrators are trustworthy, but it is disconnected between al-Qurashī and Abū Ḥāzim, as his narration is only from the followers of the followers, so perhaps the intermediary between them was omitted by the printer or the copyist
باللفظالثاني وهو رواية لأحمد (٤ / ١٢٠) وأبي داود (٥١٢٩) والترمذي (٢ / ١١٢) وقال: " حسن صحيح ". وخالفهم أبان بن تغلب فقال: عن الأعمش عن أبي عمروالشيباني عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال: فذكره. أخرجه الخرائطي (ص ١٦) وأبونعيم في " الحلية " (٦ / ٢٦٦) . قلت: وأبان بن تغلب ثقة احتج به مسلم، لكن رواية الجماعة أصح (١) . على أنهقد روي من طريق أخرى عن ابن مسعود وهو الآتي:٢ - وأما حديث ابن مسعود، فيرويه عيسى بن المختار عن ابن أبي ليلى عن فضيل بنعمرو عن أبي وائل عنه مرفوعا بلفظ الترجمة. أخرجه البزار (رقم - ١٥٤) وقال: " لا نعلمه مرفوعا عن عبد الله إلا بهذا الإسناد ". قلت: وهو ضعيف لسوء حفظ ابن أبي ليلى. ٣ - وأما حديث سهل فيرويه العائشي حدثنا عمران بن يزيد القرشي عن أبي حازم عنهبه. أخرجه الطحاوي حدثنا محمد بن علي بن داود حدثنا العائشي به. قلت: ورجاله ثقات كلهم لكنه منقطع بين القرشي وأبي حازم، فإن روايته إنماهي عن أتباع التابعين، فلعل الواسطة بينهما سقطت من الطابع أو الناسخ.
