"It was narrated by Aḥmad with a good isnād(!), and by al-Ṭabarānī and Ibn Khuzaymah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" and Ibn Ḥibbān...". It seems to me that he did not review this isnād with Aḥmad, as he attributed to him the wording: "The best places to which riding animals are taken are the Mosque of Ibrāhīm (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and my mosque." Then he mentioned it through the route of al-Ṭabarānī and others with the wording of the translation. This second wording is with Aḥmad (3/336) through the route of Ibn Lahīʿah who reported from Abū al-Zubayr, and he was also followed by Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah from Abū al-Zubayr. It was extracted by al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (1/241) and it appeared as "Ibn al-Zubayr," which is a mistake by the copyist that was not noticed by the commentator, who said: "Perhaps it is ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr." However, it is Abū al-Zubayr, and Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah narrated from him as mentioned in his biography, meaning Abū al-Zubayr.
" رواه أحمد بإسناد حسن(!) والطبراني وابن خزيمة في " صحيحه " وابن حبان.. ". ويبدو لي أنه لم يقف على هذا الإسناد عند أحمد، فإنه عزاه إليه بلفظ: " خير ما ركبت إليه الرواحل مسجد إبراهيم ﷺ ومسجدي ". ثم ذكره من طريق الطبراني ومن بعده بلفظ الترجمة. وهذا اللفظ الثاني عند أحمد (٣ / ٣٣٦) من طريق ابن لهيعة حدثنا أبو الزبير به وتابعه أيضا موسى بن عقبة عن أبي الزبير به. أخرجه الطحاوي في " مشكل الآثار " (١ / ٢٤١) ووقع فيه " ابن الزبير " وهو خطأ من الناسخ خفي على المعلق عليه فقال: " لعله هو عروة بن الزبير ". وإنما هو أبو الزبير، وقد روى عنه موسى بن عقبة كما ذكروا في ترجمته أعني أبا الزبير.
- "Indeed, Allāh supports this religion with a wicked man." It was narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1607), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (8963 and 9094), and Muḥammad ibn Makhlad in "al-Muntaqá min Ḥadīthihi" (2/6/1) from ʿĀṣim from Zirr from ʿAbd Allāh as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This isnād is good, and it is authentic! For it has a strong corroborating narration from Abū Hurayrah, which explains the reason for its occurrence. He said: We witnessed with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) at Ḥunayn, and he said to a man who claimed to be a Muslim: "This is one of the people of the Fire." When we engaged in battle, the man fought fiercely and was wounded. It was said: O Messenger of Allāh, the man to whom you said earlier that he is one of the people of the Fire, he fought fiercely today and has died. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "To the Fire." Some of the Muslims almost doubted,
- " إن الله ﷿ ليؤيد هذا الدين بالرجل الفاجر ". رواه ابن حبان في " صحيحه " (١٦٠٧) والطبراني في " الكبير " (٨٩٦٣ و ٩٠٩٤) ومحمد بن مخلد في " المنتقى من حديثه " (٢ / ٦ / ١) عن عاصم عن زر عن عبد الله مرفوعا. قلت: وهذا إسناد حسن، وهو صحيح! فإن له شاهدا قويا من حديث أبي هريرة، وفيه بيان سبب وروده، قال ﵁: شهدنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حنينا، فقال لرجل ممن يدعي بالإسلام: " هذا من أهل النار ". فلما حضرنا القتال قاتل الرجل قتالا شديدا، فأصابته جراحة، فقيل: يا رسول الله الرجل الذي قلت له آنفا: إنه من أهل النار، فإنه قاتل اليوم شديدا وقد مات، فقال النبي ﷺ: " إلى النار ". فكاد بعض المسلمين أن يرتاب،
