and his name is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Thābit, and there is a difference of opinion about him, but it is established that his ḥadīth is considered good if he does not contradict [others]. The ḥadīth has other paths and supporting narrations which I have documented in "Irwāʾ al-Ghalīl" (405).
واسمه عبد الرحمن بن ثابت وهو مختلف فيه، والمتقرر أنه حسن الحديث إذا لم يخالف. وللحديث طرق أخرى وشواهد خرجتها في " إرواء الغليل " (٤٠٥).

- "One of you will be approached by Satan and he will say: Who created you? He will reply: Allāh. Then [Satan] will say: Who created Allāh?! If one of you experiences this, let him recite: I believe in Allāh and His messengers, for that will remove it from him." It was narrated by Aḥmad (6/258): Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl told us, saying: al-Ḍaḥḥāk narrated from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from ʿĀʾishah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This is a good chain of transmission, and it meets the criteria of Muslim, as all its narrators are those he relied upon in his "Ṣaḥīḥ", but al-Ḍaḥḥāk, who is Ibn ʿUthmān al-Asadī al-Ḥizāmī, has been criticized by some scholars regarding his memory, yet this does not lower the status of his ḥadīth from being good, if Allāh wills. He was corroborated by Sufyān al-Thawrī and Layth ibn Sālim as reported by Ibn al-Sunnī (201), thus the ḥadīth is authentic. Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (2/266): "It was narrated by Aḥmad with a good chain, and also by Abū Yaʿlá and al-Bazzār, and it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Kabīr and al-Awsaṭ from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, and it was also narrated by Aḥmad from the ḥadīth of Khuzaymah ibn
- " إن أحدكم يأتيه الشيطان فيقول: من خلقك؟ فيقول: الله، فيقول: فمن خلق الله؟! فإذا وجد ذلك أحدكم فليقرأ: آمنت بالله ورسله، فإن ذلك يذهب عنه ". رواه أحمد (٦ / ٢٥٨) : حدثنا محمد بن إسماعيل قال: حدثنا الضحاك عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: فذكره. قلت: وهذا سند حسن، وهو على شرط مسلم، رجاله كلهم من رجاله الذين احتج بهم في " صحيحه "، لكن الضحاك وهو ابن عثمان الأسدي الحزامي قد تكلم فيه بعض الأئمة من قبل حفظه، لكن ذلك لا ينزل حديثه من رتبة الحسن إن شاء الله تعالى. وقد تابعه سفيان الثوري وليث بن سالم عند ابن السني (٢٠١) فالحديث صحيح. وقال المنذري في " الترغيب " (٢ / ٢٦٦) : " رواه أحمد بإسناد جيد، وأبو يعلى والبزار، ورواه الطبراني في الكبير والأوسط من حديث عبد الله بن عمرو، ورواه أحمد أيضا من حديث خزيمة بن
