by way of Sulaymān ibn Yasār from him, and Aḥmad (2/307, 338, 453). Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." There are two other supporting narrations that have been mentioned previously under numbers (487 and 488).

"The best prayer in the sight of Allāh is the morning prayer on Friday in congregation." Narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (7/207): ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá narrated to us, Khālid ibn al-Ḥārith narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated from Yaʿlá ibn ʿAṭāʾ from al-Walīd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān that Ibn ʿUmar said to Ḥumrān ibn Abān: What prevented you from praying in congregation? He said: I have prayed the morning prayer on Friday in congregation. He said: Has it not reached you that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, and said: "Khālid alone narrated it as marfūʿ, while Ghundar narrated it as mawqūf." I say: Khālid ibn al-Ḥārith, who is al-Hujaymī Abū ʿUthmān al-Baṣrī, is a reliable and trustworthy narrator, relied upon by the two Shaykhs as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb," so his addition is acceptable. Thus, the narration of Ghundar as mawqūf does not undermine it, especially since it is considered marfūʿ because it is not said based on mere opinion. And all the other narrators are trustworthy, all of them are from the men of Muslim except for Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá, who is Ibn Mandah Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Aṣbahānī, and he is a reliable ḥāfiẓ with a biography in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (2/222-224) and some ḥadīths from this Shaykh are mentioned from him. He also has a biography in "Tadhkirat al-Ḥuffāẓ." And ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad is Ibn Jaʿfar ibn Ḥayyān Abū Muḥammad, the reliable ḥāfiẓ known as "Abū al-Shaykh," and Abū Nuʿaym also wrote his biography (2/90), so the isnād is ṣaḥīḥ
