and among them is from Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī in a ḥadīth of his regarding tribulations, which came in the narration of Abū Dāwūd from him at its end: "They said: What do you command us? He said: Be like the furnishings of your homes." And through the route of Abū Dāwūd, it was extracted by al-Ḥākim (4/440) who said: "Its isnād is authentic." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I have also extracted it in "al-Irwāʾ." And among them is from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ in a ḥadīth of his, its extraction and discussion on this specific addition has passed under number (205). And among them is from Abū Thaʿlabah al-Khushanī, and its isnād is weak as I have clarified in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" number (1025) from the third volume, and it will be printed soon, if Allāh wills.

"Persist with (Yā Dhā al-Jalāl wa-al-Ikrām)." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of Rabīʿah ibn ʿĀmir, Abū Hurayrah, and Anas ibn Mālik. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Rabīʿah, it is narrated by ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak who informed me, Yaḥyá ibn Ḥassān, from Rabīʿah ibn ʿĀmir who said: I heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. It was extracted by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (2/1/256), al-Ḥākim (1/498-499), Aḥmad (4/177), Abū ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mandah in "al-Maʿrifah" (Q 13/1) and in "al-Tawḥīd" (Q 72/2), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "al-Tārīkh" (6/107/1), all of them from Ibn al-Mubārak with it. Al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said, and Ibn Mandah said in the first book: "A strange ḥadīth, we have not written it except from this route."
