I said: I did not see it in "Kitāb al-Duʿāʾ" nor in "Kitāb al-Maʿrifah" from "al-Mustadrak," and Allāh knows best. Then I found it through my index of "al-Mustadrak" in the "Adab" section (4/290), and he authenticated it according to the conditions of the two shaykhs, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. Another witness from the ḥadīth of Muʿādh ibn Jabal similar to the ḥadīth of Qays. It was narrated by Aḥmad (5/228, 242, 244) through the chain of Ḥammād ibn Salamah from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib from Abū Razīn from him. Its narrators are trustworthy, so the isnād is authentic except for the confusion of ʿAṭāʾ, and Ḥammād heard from him before and after the confusion, contrary to the practice of al-Mundhirī and others. Then I found the ḥadīth of Jābir in "al-Awsaṭ al-Ṭabarānī" (3684) and in "al-Ṣaghīr" (215 - al-Rawḍ) through the chain of ʿAbd al-Majīd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawād who said: Balhaṭ ibn ʿAbbād informed us from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jābir who said: "We complained to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about the heat, but he did not relieve us and said: Increase..." the ḥadīth with the wording "the gatherers," and al-Ṭabarānī said: "It is not narrated from Jābir except through this isnād, and Balhaṭ did not narrate except this ḥadīth." He added in "al-Ṣaghīr": "And he is trustworthy in my view." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." Ibn Abī Ḥātim said in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (1/1/440): "Balhaṭ ibn ʿAbbād narrated a rejected ḥadīth from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, narrated by ʿAbd al-Majīd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawād."
