its narrators are trustworthy except for Ibrāhīm ibn Hānī, about whom Ibn ʿAdī said: "Unknown, he brings falsehoods." al-Ṭayālisī (no. 2494), Aḥmad (2/235), and al-Ḥākim (1/21) narrated through the path of Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaym, who said: I heard ʿAmr ibn Maymūn narrating from Abū Hurayrah in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Shall I not guide you to a word under the Throne from the treasures of Paradise? You say: There is no power nor strength except with Allāh. Then Allāh says: My servant has submitted and surrendered." al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic and no defect is preserved for it." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. And it is as they said. Kumayl ibn Ziyād followed him from Abū Hurayrah with it. It was narrated by al-Ṭayālisī (no. 2456), Aḥmad (2/520), al-Bazzār (p. 298 - his additions), al-Ḥākim (1/517), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (1/368), and al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic isnād." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. And I say: The isnād of Aḥmad and one of the isnāds of al-Bazzār is authentic, but the isnād of al-Ḥākim and the others is from the narration of Abū Isḥāq from Kumayl with it, and he added: "There is no refuge nor escape from Allāh except to Him." I said: There is doubt in the authenticity of this addition in this ḥadīth according to me because Abū Isḥāq, who is ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Sabīʿī, became confused, and he was a mudallis and narrated it with ʿanʿanah. And I found another path for it from Ibn Shihāb from Sulaymān ibn Qādim from Abū Hurayrah with it. It was narrated by Abū ʿArūbah al-Ḥarrānī in "Ḥadīth al-Jazariyyīn" (folio 41/2), and Sulaymān ibn Qādim is unknown to me. And it has another witness from the ḥadīth of Qays ibn Saʿd ibn ʿUbādah in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Shall I not guide you to a door from the doors of Paradise, there is no power nor strength except with Allāh."
