Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" from Abū Salamah who said: Muʿādh said: I said: O Messenger of Allāh, advise me. He said, and mentioned it. Al-Haythamī said (4/218): "Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and Abū Salamah did not meet Muʿādh, and its narrators are trustworthy." Al-Mundhirī said (4/132): "Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī with a good isnād, except that there is a gap between Abū Salamah and Muʿādh." Al-Munāwī said following it: "And the author indicated it as ḥasan." I say: and it is deserving of that, for it has scattered supporting narrations in several ḥadīths, and the first two sentences are supported in what precedes. Refer to the previous ḥadīth number (1175), and see ḥadīth (1070) from "al-Sunnah" by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim.

Narrated by al-Salafī in "al-Fawāʾid al-Muntaqāh min Uṣūl Samāʿāt al-Raʾīs al-Thaqafī" (2/165/1) through the route of Yaḥyá ibn Ṣāliḥ, who narrated from Sulaymān ibn ʿAṭāʾ from Abū al-Wāṣil from Anas who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to say" and mentioned it. I say: and this isnād is weak. This Abū al-Wāṣil is ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Wāṣil al-Bāhilī. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (3/1/18):
