- "The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allāh on the Day of Judgment are those who inflicted the severest punishment on people in the world." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/90), al-Ḥumaydī (562), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (1/190/2), and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Muntaqá min Masmūʿātihi bi-Marw" (36/1) from Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah who said: ʿAmr ibn Dīnār narrated to us, saying: Abū Najīḥ informed me from Khālid ibn Ḥakīm ibn Ḥizām who said: "Abū ʿUbaydah ibn al-Jarrāḥ reprimanded a man from the people of the land for something, and Khālid ibn al-Walīd spoke to him. It was said to him: You have angered the leader. Khālid said: I did not intend to anger him, but I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say," and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic; its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim, except for Khālid ibn Ḥakīm, who is trustworthy as narrated by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (1/2/324) from Ibn Maʿīn. (Note): In "Musnad Aḥmad," it appears as Ibn Abī Najīḥ. The correct version is Abū Najīḥ.

- "Seek refuge with Allāh from the evil of a neighbor who is permanent, for the neighbor of a traveler, if he wishes to leave, he leaves." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (1/532) through the route of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Isḥāq from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to say, and he mentioned it. He said: "This ḥadīth is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said, except that this ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who is al-Qurashī their client, has slight criticism regarding his memory, so his ḥadīth is considered good. It was also recorded by Aḥmad (2/346) from this route with the wording: "Seek refuge with Allāh from the evil of a neighbor who is permanent, for the neighbor of a traveler, if he wishes to leave, he leaves."
