and this Ibrāhīm is Ibn Yaḥyá al-Aslamī, who is considered unreliable. There is a corroborating report from ʿUmar with a weak chain mentioned by al-Sakhāwī in "al-Qawl al-Badīʿ" (p. 120 - Hind). Ibn Abī Ḥātim also cited it in "al-ʿIlal" (1/205) through the route of Saʿīd ibn Bashīr from Qatādah from Anas, reported without the phrase: "and the night of Friday..." He said: "My father said: This ḥadīth is objectionable with this isnād." In summary, the ḥadīth with these chains is ḥasan at the lowest level, and it is authentic without mentioning the night of Friday. See "Takhrīj Mishkāt al-Miṣbāḥ" (1361).

- "When a man's child dies, Allāh says to His angels: Have you taken the child of My servant? They say: Yes. He says: Have you taken the fruit of his heart? They say: Yes. He says: What did My servant say? They say: He praised You and said: 'To Allāh we belong and to Him we return.' He says: Build for My servant a house in Paradise and name it the House of Praise." It was narrated by al-Thaqafī in "al-Thaqafiyyāt" (3/15/2) from ʿAbd al-Ḥakam ibn Maysarah al-Ḥārithī Abū Yaḥyá, who reported from Sufyān from ʿAlqamah ibn Murthad from Abū Burdah from Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī as marfūʿ. He said: "This is a rare ḥadīth from al-Thawrī; I do not know it except through this route, and it was narrated by al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿArzab and others from Abū Mūsá." I said: It was connected by al-Tirmidhī (1/190) and Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād in "Zawāʾid al-Zuhd" (108) and Ibn Ḥibbān (726) through the route of Ḥammād ibn Salamah from Abū Sinān, who said: I buried my son Sinān, and Abū Ṭalḥah al-Khūlānī was sitting on the edge of the grave. When I wanted to leave, he took my hand and said: Shall I give you glad tidings, O Abū Sinān? I said: Yes. He said: al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to me from Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī as marfūʿ. Al-Tirmidhī said: "This ḥadīth is ḥasan gharīb."
