"and Ḥajjāj ibn Qumrī, a shaykh from the people of Egypt, is trustworthy and reliable." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from ʿĀmir ibn Saʿd from his father, reported in a similar manner. It was recorded by Ibn ʿAsākir, Ibn al-Najjār, and al-Ḍiyāʾ as mentioned in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr" (1/150/1), and I reviewed "al-Aḥādīth al-Mukhtārah" by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī. I reviewed from it "Musnad Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ," but I did not find the ḥadīth in it. And Allāh knows best. It has also been narrated from al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī, elevated, with the wording: "Indeed, Allāh loves noble matters and their highest, and He dislikes their trivialities." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (1/140/1) and Ibn ʿAdī (114/1) from Khālid ibn Ilyās al-ʿAdawī who informed me from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān from his mother Fāṭimah bint al-Ḥusayn from her father al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī with it. And he said: "Khālid ibn Ilyās, his ḥadīths are like rare and unique reports from those he narrates from, and despite his weakness, his ḥadīth is written." I said: It is understood from the statements of the other imams about him that he is very weak. Therefore, it is not suitable as a corroborating evidence, so reliance is on what preceded.
"When one of you completes his ḥajj, let him hasten the journey to his family, for it is greater in reward for him." It was recorded by al-Dāraqutnī (289) and al-Ḥākim (71/477) and from him by al-Bayhaqī (5/259) through the route of Abū Marwān Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān al-ʿUthmānī, who narrated to us from Abū Ḍumrah al-Laythī from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), elevated. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two shaykhs." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. Thus they said, and this al-ʿUthmānī, the two shaykhs did not record anything from him, and there is slight criticism about him, as al-Dhahabī himself mentioned him in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" and said:
