An authentic ḥadīth narrated by ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), and I have gathered several chains from her: the first: from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from her. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/71), al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" (1/1/416), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (2/279/1) through two chains from him. And this isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two shaykhs. The second: from Sharīk ibn Abī Namr from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from her that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to her: "O ʿĀʾishah, be gentle, for when Allāh intends good for a household, He guides them to the door of gentleness." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/104-105). Abū Saʿīd narrated to us, saying: Sulaymān, meaning Ibn Bilāl, narrated from Sharīk. I said: and this isnād is good and it is also according to their criteria. The follow-up of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Abū Ṭawālah from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār with it was recorded by al-Bayhaqī. The third: from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr from Ibn Abī Mulaykah from her, raised with the same wording as the first. It was recorded by al-Daylamī in "Musnad al-Firdaws" (1/1/96) from the route of Abū al-Shaykh in a suspended form, narrated to us (blank) from Baqiyyah from Ibn al-Mubārak from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr.
