Al-Haythamī said afterward in "his Zawāʾid": "I said: A witness supports it from the ḥadīth of Saʿd and ʿUthmān." I said: Abū Hilāl's name is Muḥammad ibn Salīm, and he is truthful but lenient, as in "al-Taqrīb." He said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (10/27): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Awsaṭ,' and in it is Muḥammad ibn Salīm Abū Hilāl, who was deemed trustworthy by a group, but he is weak, and the rest of their men are the men of the authentic collections, and it was narrated by al-Bazzār." I said: The teacher of al-Ṭabarānī, Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Tammār, is not among the men of the authentic collections, but he was followed by al-Bazzār's teachers, Rūḥ ibn Ḥātim and Aḥmad ibn al-ʿAlāʾ al-Ādamī, the first is weak, and I did not find a biography for the latter
