"Salām al-Ṭawīl is rejected in ḥadīth and no one else has narrated it with an isnād." I said: And Zayd al-ʿAmī is weak.

"Whoever humiliates Quraysh, Allāh will humiliate him." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān, Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, Anas ibn Mālik, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUthmān, it is narrated by ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Ḥafṣ ibn ʿUmar ibn Mūsá ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Maʿmar al-Taymī who said: I heard my father say: I heard my uncle ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿUmar ibn Mūsá say: Rabīʿah ibn Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān who said: My father said to me: O my son, if you are given authority over the people, honor Quraysh, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2288), Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (13/291/1), and al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Aḥādīth al-Mukhtārah" (1/138), all through the route of Abū Yaʿlá, and al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (270), and al-Ḥākim (4/74), as well as Aḥmad (1/64) and al-Ḍiyāʾ also in "al-Muntaqá min Masmūʿātihi bi-Marw" (29/1 and 112/2) through various routes from ʿUbayd Allāh. Ibn ʿAsākir said: "A strange ḥadīth." Al-ʿUqaylī explained its reason, saying: "ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn Mūsá al-Taymī is not followed in his ḥadīth, and it has been narrated with a different isnād, with an isnād similar to this." I said: Ibn Ḥibbān uniquely authenticated him, and al-Dhahabī said: "He has some weakness." And Muḥammad ibn Ḥafṣ was not authenticated by anyone other than Ibn Ḥibbān either, and al-Ḥusaynī said: "There is some doubt about him." 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Saʿd, it is narrated by Muḥammad ibn Abī Sufyān from Yūsuf ibn al-Ḥakam from Muḥammad ibn Saʿd from his father in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Whoever wishes for the humiliation of Quraysh, Allāh will humiliate him."
