the middle of Shaʿbān is an authentic ḥadīth, so it is not something that should be relied upon, and if any of them made such a statement, it was due to hastiness and not exerting the effort to trace the paths in the manner that is before you. And Allāh, the Exalted, is the one who grants success.
النصف من شعبان حديث صحيح، فليس مما ينبغي الاعتماد عليه، ولئن كان أحد منهم أطلق مثل هذا القول فإنما أوتي من قبل التسرع وعدم وسع الجهد لتتبع الطرق على هذا النحو الذي بين يديك. والله تعالى هو الموفق.
- "The rider should greet the one walking, and the one walking should greet the one sitting, and the few should greet the many." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and also by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad," Abū Dāwūd, and Aḥmad, all through the route of Ibn Jurayj who said: Ziyād informed me that Thābit, the freed slave of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Zayd, informed him that he heard Abū Hurayrah say: and he mentioned it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. There are other routes from him that will be mentioned soon. It also has a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of Faḍālah ibn ʿUbayd. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad," Ibn Ḥibbān, and Aḥmad in the Musnad from Abū Hāniʾ that Abū ʿAlī al-Janbī narrated it to him as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with this wording, and al-Dārimī narrated something similar. And this is an authentic isnād. It has been reported with another wording that will be mentioned soon, and it has another route with the wording: "The rider should greet the one walking, the one walking should greet the one sitting, the few should greet the many, and the young should greet the old." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī and Aḥmad from Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah from Ḥabīb ibn al-Shahīd from al-Ḥasan from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with it. And this isnād consists of trustworthy men according to the two Shaykhs, except that it is disconnected; al-Tirmidhī said: "Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, Yūnus ibn ʿUbayd, and ʿAlī ibn Zayd said that al-Ḥasan did not hear from Abū Hurayrah." But there is another route from Abū Hurayrah that will be mentioned soon.
- " يسلم الراكب على الماشي والماشي على القاعد والقليل على الكثير ". أخرجه البخاري ومسلم والبخاري أيضا في " الأدب المفرد " وأبو داود وأحمد كلهم من طريق ابن جريح قال: أخبرني زياد أن ثابتا مولى عبد الرحمن بن زيد أخبره أنه سمع أبا هريرة قال: فذكره مرفوعا. وله عنه طرق أخرى يأتي ذكرها قريبا. وله شاهد من حديث فضالة بن عبيد. أخرجه البخاري في " الأدب المفرد " وابن حبان وأحمد في المسند عن أبي هاني أن أبا علي الجنبي حدثه عنه مرفوعا بهذا اللفظ، ورواه الدارمي نحوه. وهذا سند صحيح. وورد بلفظ آخر يأتي قريبا، وله طريق آخر بلفظ: " يسلم الراكب على الماشي والماشي على القاعد والقليل على الكثير والصغير على الكبير ". أخرجه الترمذي وأحمد عن روح بن عبادة عن حبيب بن الشهيد عن الحسن عن أبي هريرة مرفوعا به. وهذا سند رجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين إلا أنه منقطع، قال الترمذي: " وقال أيوب السختياني ويونس بن عبيد وعلي بن زيد أن الحسن لم يسمع من أبي هريرة ". لكن له طريق أخرى عن أبي هريرة تأتي قريبا.
