and in the Musnad (6/142) from ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā): "The beard, age, and face of Dihyah al-Kalbī resembled Gabriel (ʿalayhi al-salām)" and its isnād is good. And in it (6/146) through the route of Mujālid from al-Shaʿbī from Abū Salamah from her, she said: I saw the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) placing his hand on the mane of a horse while speaking to a man. I said: I saw you placing your hand on the mane of Dihyah al-Kalbī's horse and speaking to him. He said: Did you see him? She said: Yes. He said: That was Gabriel (ʿalayhi al-salām), and he sends you greetings of peace..." the ḥadīth. Its isnād is good in the supporting evidences, and Ibn Saʿd has also narrated it through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar from Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd from al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad from her similarly, without the mention of the greetings of peace... and its isnād is strong with what preceded it.

- "I had been informed of it (meaning Laylat al-Qadr), then it was taken away from me, so seek it in the last seven or last three [nights]." It was narrated by al-Bazzār in his "Musnad" (p. 109 - Zawāʾid of the Islamic Office edition) [where he] narrated to us Yūsuf ibn Mūsá, who narrated to us ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Jahm, who narrated to us ʿAmr ibn Abī Qays (1) from al-Zubayr ibn ʿAdī from Abū Wāʾil from ʿAbd Allāh who said: "The Prophet ﷺ was asked about Laylat al-Qadr? He said" and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic; all its men are trustworthy from the men of "al-Tahdhīb" except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Jahm, whom Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned (2/2/27) and said about Abū Zurʿah: "Truthful." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/176): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and its men are trustworthy." The ḥadīth has many supporting evidences in "al-Ṣaḥīḥayn" and others from a group of Companions, some of which can be found in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abū Dāwūd" (1247, 1248, 1250, 1251, 1252)
