with slow steps and the earth from you is heavy, so you gathered and withheld, until when your soul reached here—and he pointed to his throat—and in another narration: until it reached the collarbones, you said: I will give charity, but how is it time to give charity?! Narrated by Ibn Mājah (2/159), Imām Aḥmad (4/210), and Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (7/427) from Ḥarīz ibn ʿUthmān, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maysarah, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Busr ibn Juhāsh that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) spat one day on his palm and placed his finger on it, then said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good, all its men are trustworthy except ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maysarah, whom Ibn al-Madīnī said: "unknown." But Abū Dāwūd said: "All of Ḥarīz's shaykhs are trustworthy." And al-ʿAjlī said in "al-Thiqāt" (p. 34/2 - arrangement of al-Haythamī): "A trustworthy Syrian follower." And al-Ḥāfiẓ mentioned it in "al-Tahdhīb" without adding, and he missed that Ibn Ḥibbān also mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (1/131 - al-Ẓāhiriyyah). And a group of trustworthy people narrated from him as in "al-Tahdhīb." And he was followed by Thawr ibn Yazīd from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maysarah with it as in "Tuḥfat al-Ashrāf" by al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī (2/97). And al-Būṣīrī said in "Zawāʾid Ibn Mājah" (p. 168/1): "And its isnād is authentic, its men are trustworthy."
