"If one of you women goes out to the mosque, she should not come near perfume." Narrated by Aḥmad (6/363), Ibn Saʿd (8/290), al-Nasāʾī (2/283), and Ibn ʿAsākir (17/274/1) from Bukayr ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Busar ibn Saʿīd from Zaynab al-Thaqafiyyah that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and the wording of al-Nasāʾī and Ibn Saʿd is: "If a woman goes out to the last evening prayer, she should not touch perfume." In another wording by Aḥmad and al-Nasāʾī: "If one of you attends the evening prayer, she should not touch perfume." It was also narrated by Muslim (2/33). A similar witness was mentioned under number (1031).

"O Abū Umāmah! Among the believers are those whose hearts are inclined towards me." Narrated by Imām Aḥmad (5/267), Ḥayywah (meaning Ibn Shurayḥ) narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Ziyād narrated to us, Abū Rāshid al-Ḥibrānī told me: Abū Umāmah al-Bāhilī took my hand, and he said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) took my hand and said to me: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is good, all its men are trustworthy and well-known from the men of "al-Tahdhīb," and Baqiyyah—who is Ibn al-Walīd al-Ḥimṣī—only feared for his tadlīs, but we are assured by his explicit statement of narration. Similarly, it was narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (19/23/2) through the route of Aḥmad ibn al-Faraj, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd informed us of it, except that he said: "my heart is inclined towards him" instead of "his heart is inclined towards me." But Aḥmad ibn al-Faraj is weak, so his contradiction to someone like Ḥayywah ibn Shurayḥ, the trustworthy, holds no value
