for your Lord, O Muḥammad! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said ... and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim. The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from Ibn ʿAbbās, narrated by Baqiyyah from al-Zubaydī from al-Zuhrī from Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās from him with it. It was recorded by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (3/473 - Maktab edition) and its chain is weak. There is another route from Ibn ʿAbbās, and it is also weak. It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Zuhd" (folios 50-51) and it contains objectionable additions, including: that the angel was Isrāfīl, and that he descended when the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) complained to Jibrīl (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) that he had reached evening without having a handful of barley! There is another corroborating narration from ʿĀʾishah. Its isnād is also weak, and it includes: that the waistband of the angel is equal to the Kaʿbah! Therefore, I have included it and the one before it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (2044 and 2045).

"O Allāh, they are barefoot, so carry them; O Allāh, they are naked, so clothe them; O Allāh, they are hungry, so feed them." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2747) from Ḥayyī from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ḥublī from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) went out on the day of Badr with three hundred and fifteen, and the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said ... and he mentioned it, and in it: "So Allāh granted him victory on the day of Badr, and when they returned, there was not a man among them except that he returned with one or two camels, and they were clothed and satiated." I said: This isnād is good, and its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the authentic collections, and regarding Ḥayyī, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Maʿāfirī, there is discussion, but his ḥadīth does not fall below the rank of ḥasan, and in "al-Taqrīb": "truthful but errs."
