and all its narrators are reliable, the narrators of al-Bukhārī, except for Ḥibbān ibn ʿAlī, who is weak. However, he was not abandoned, as al-Dhahabī said, so someone like him is used for supporting evidence. The narration of al-Layth, which al-Tirmidhī mentioned in a suspended form from ʿUqayl from al-Zuhrī as a mursal, was connected by al-Ṭaḥāwī through the route of Ibn Ṣāliḥ from him. Ibn Ṣāliḥ's name is ʿAbd Allāh, the scribe of al-Layth, and he is weak, so he is not used as evidence when alone, let alone in contradiction.
ورجاله كلهم ثقات رجال البخاري غير حبان بن علي وهو ضعيف لكنه لم يترك كما قال الذهبي، فمثله يستشهد به. ورواية الليث التي علقها الترمذي عن عقيل عن الزهري مرسلا وصلها الطحاوي من طريق ابن صالح عنه. وابن صالح اسمه عبد الله كاتب الليث وفيه ضعف فلا يحتج به عند التفرد فكيف عند المخالفة؟
