connected as previously mentioned, and Ibn Saʿd narrated it thus as disconnected, which is the narration about which Abū Ḥātim said: It is more likely to be correct. And Allāh knows best. The ḥadīth was also narrated by Ibn Saʿd from Qatādah, elevated and in a shortened form, with the wording: "Hūd and its sisters have aged me." Its isnād is authentic except that it is disconnected. However, al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in "al-Kabīr" from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir, elevated with it. Al-Haythamī said (7/37): "Its men are the men of the authentic collections." It was also narrated from the ḥadīth of Sahl ibn Saʿd, elevated with it, and added: "(al-Wāqiʿah), (al-Ḥāqqah), and (Idhā al-shamsu kuwwirat)."
موصولا كما تقدم ورواه ابن سعد هكذا مرسلا وهي الرواية التي قال عنها أبو حاتم: إنها أشبه بالصواب. والله أعلم. والحديث أخرجه ابن سعد عن قتادة مرفوعا مختصرا بلفظ: " شيبتني هود وأخواتها ". وإسناده صحيح لولا أنه مرسل. لكن رواه الطبراني في " الكبير " عن عقبة بن عامر مرفوعا به. قال الهيثمي (٧ / ٣٧) : " ورجاله رجال الصحيح ". وأخرجه أيضا من حديث سهل بن سعد مرفوعا به وزاد: " (الواقعة) و (الحاقة) و (إذا الشمس كورت) ".
