ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Maʿmar that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. al-Ṭabarānī does not include the last sentence. I said: This isnād is authentic, its narrators are reliable according to the standards of Muslim, except for Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥajjāj, who is al-Sāmī - with an unpointed sīn - and he is trustworthy. al-Haythamī said (8/19): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are those of the authentic [collections], except for Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Sāmī, and he is trustworthy." The ḥadīth has supporting evidence from the narration of ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) in a raised form with the wording: "Allāh does not intend kindness for a household except that He benefits them, and He does not deprive them of it except that it harms them." It was narrated by al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" as mentioned in "al-Mishkāt" (5103).
